- Spelling Test on Friday. STUDY PERSONAL WORDS!!!! Skill test for this unit will be on adding suffixes using the 4 rules below:
- Words ending in consonant y: Change y to i then add suffix. (Example: noisy to noisiest)
- Words ending in vowel y: Leave y and just add suffix. (Example: monkey to monkeys)
- Words ending in e: drop and add suffix that begins with a vowel. (Example: write to writing)
- Words ending in e: leave e and add suffix if suffix begins with consonant. (Example: care to careful)
