March 12 - 16

Friday:

  • No homework

Thursday:

  • RAZ - 2 quizzes passed by Friday. You must start this before Thursday night. If your computer is down, I need to know before Friday or the assignment will be considered late. (You must score at least +6/7 or +8/10 in order to pass. You will receive a checkmark to show that you have passed the quiz. You may always redo it to get a higher score after you reread the book.)
  • The Spelling skill we will be focusing on this week will be homographs. (Those are words that are spelled the same way, but can be pronounced two different ways. For example: I read the book yesterday.  I like to read.  The lawyer will object to putting the object on display. For the test they will need to know what a homograph is, identify homographs by circling them in a random list of words, and write sentences using homographs.)

There will also be a review of homophones on the test. Students will need to identify homophones (words that sound alike but have different spelling like here & hear) by circling them in a random list of words.

Wednesday:
  • Finish p. 37 in Spelling
